Child Psychiatry

Dr. Tinney is a Board-certified Psychiatrist with specialized training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. This means she has devoted her medical career to the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral health concerns for all ages.

By training at one of the top institutions in the nation, Dr. Tinney has been exposed to a variety of illness presentations and management options. She also has conducted research in Pediatric Bipolar Disorder and is currently involved in Autism Spectrum studies.

Dr. Tinney realizes that children and adolescents are not just “little adults” and she will work with you to create an individualized plan that incorporates her philosophy of being a “medication minimalist.” In other words, she only recommends medication when absolutely necessary. She pledges to take the time necessary to provide you and your family with the appropriate amount of education while creating a targeted treatment plan.
